The Latin America Amateur Championship has achieved a strong presence within the region after two successful editions played in Argentina in 2015 and the Dominican Republic in 2016. The LAAC´s next stop is Panama from January 12-15, 2017, when the best amateurs will meet at the Club de Golf de Panama.
Conducted by the International Golf Federation (formerly the World Amateur Golf Council), which comprises the national governing bodies of golf in more than 125 countries, the World Amateur Team Championships are a biennial international amateur golf competition rotated among three geographic zones of the world: Asia-Pacific, American and European-African.

The Junior Orange Bowl Golf tournament is an invitation only event. Players gain eligibility for the event by achieving one of the following: Top 5 from previous year 2015 tournament; Top 8 USGA Junior Girls; Winners (18 & under age group) of tournaments listed in the Golfweek; Performance Index 1 thru 10 as of September 1st; Winners (18 & under group) of these junior golf events: Junior World; PGA Jr., Big I Junior Classic; Women’s, Western Jr., Doral-Publix, Heritage Junior+, Scott Robertson Memorial, FCWT Championship,Optimist Junior; Top 10 Golfweek ranking as of August 1; Top 10 Jr. Golf Scoreboard ranking as of August 1; or Foreign National Champion selected and submitter by national golf federation and invited by the Orange Bowl committee.

The tournament is an invitation only event. Players gain eligibility to compete in the tournament by achieving Amateur Reputation as top golfer in Caribbean Nation.
